Dr. Prakash further trained in general and vascular surgery at the University of Chicago and St. John Macomb Hospital after which Dr. Prakash completed his U.S. surgical residency at Pontiac General Hospital.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Prakash is passionate about teaching and has served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at Wayne State and Michigan State Medical Schools for over two decades. Dr. Prakash has also previously held positions as Chief of Surgery, Chairman of the Peer Review Committee, and as an Executive Committee member at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.

During his illustrious career, Dr. Prakash has earned several awards for his clinical and teaching accomplishments and has published numerous papers on general and vascular surgery. Dr. Prakash is a member of the American Medical Association and the Michigan Medical Society.

With a special interest in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, Dr. Prakash performs a wide range of procedures, including minimally invasive and open surgeries. Dr. Prakash's commitment to advancing surgical techniques and improving patient outcomes has earned him a well-deserved place in the Global Directory of Who's Who.
